Understanding the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) for effective therapy.
A new review explores our current understanding of the complexity of the immune context of the tumour microenvironment and its influence on response to therapy.
A new paper in Nature Medicine summarises current knowledge on the different classes and subclasses of the tumour immune microenvironment (TIME). It focuses on the use of new technologies to study TIME within a tumour and the roles of systemic immune and non-immune-related factors in influencing characteristics of the microenvironment and how tumours respond to immunotherapy.
