new paper in Nature Medicine summarises current knowledge on the different classes and subclasses of the tumour immune microenvironment (TIME). It focuses on the use of new technologies to study TIME within a tumour and the roles of systemic immune and non-immune-related factors in influencing characteristics of the microenvironment and how tumours respond to immunotherapy.
